Biciklizam
Biciklizam je rekreacija, sport i nacin kretanja kopnom koriscenjem bicikla, prevoznog sredstva na ljudski pogon. Bicikl je nastao u Evropi u 19. veku. Otkrice bicikla nije vezano za odredjenu godinu ili konkretnog izumitelja. Kroz istoriju je bilo vise primera vozila pokretanih ljudskom snagom. Osoba koja se spominje kao prvi vozac bicikla je nemacki baron Karl von Drais, koji je 1817. godine vozio svojevrsni bicikl na guranje. Starlijev model bicikla iz 1885. godine se najcesce smatra prvim modernim biciklom. Dalje poboljsanje bilo je uvodjenje pnemuatskih guma, 1888. godine, koje je uveo Skot Dzon Danlop. Od tada se osnovni koncept bicikla nije bitno menjao, osim sto su danasnji bicikli daleko laksi za upravljanje i sigurniji. Zbog relativno jeftine izrade i dostupnosti to je danas najrasirenije prijevozno sredstvo. Pretpostavlja se da danas na svetu postoji preko 1.000.000.000 bicikala. Zbog cinjenice da u poredjenju s drugim uobicajenim prevoznim sredstvima (npr. automobilom) daleko manje opasan po zagadjenje okoline a ujedno vrlo pozitivnog ucinka na zdravlje ljudi koji voze bicikle, brojni gradovi osiguravaju za bicikliste razlicitu infrastrukturu koja im olaksava voznju: odvojene biciklisticke staze, posebna mjesta za odlaganje bicikala, dijelove grada u koje je moguce doci iskljucivo biciklom ili pesice, itd. Danas je biciklizam standardni Olimpijski sport u nekoliko disciplina. Postoji i odredjen broj biciklistickih disciplina koje nisu u olimpijskom programu.
